The management of the International Design Center, the Florida West Arts Showcase and the other showrooms at the Center, together, have created a one of a kind Arts and Design venue for Southwest Florida.
SATURDAY MEET THE ARTIST EXHIBITIONS AND DEMONSTRATIONS
On a number of Saturdays individual artists are available to speak one on one with the visitors to the Florida West Arts Showcase. During the artist's one day exhibition, visitors will also experience a demonstration of the artist's techniques. Each exhibition and demonstration runs from noon - 4:00 pm. MEET THE ARTISTS: Celeste Borah and Carl Schwartz on November 15; and Regis Bobitski on January 24. February - April to be announced.

A One Person Show featuring the oil and acrylic paintings by award winning artist Carol McArdle. Carol may surprise you with her dynamic pieces, mixing media and styles in her own unique way. Carol won the Best in Show Award in the Florida West Arts 2008 Juried Fine Art Exhibition Series. Also view two and three dimensional artworks by Florida West Arts “gallery artists”.

For the holiday season, Florida West Arts presents three simultaneous fine art
exhibitions. A “Good Things Come in Small Packages” exhibition features two and
three dimensional works especially created for holiday gift giving. Included
are paintings, photography, digitally enhanced art pieces and fine craft. A second
exhibition features artworks by a number of artists who won Awards in the Artescape
Florida West 2008 Juried Fine Art Series. Included are acrylic and oil paintings
by Carol McArdle; watercolor paintings by Christine Scott; fine art photography
by Cynthia Walpole and Lynn Berreitter; digital imagery by Arthur Gerstein; pigmented
ink on canvas by Pam Brodersen; and acrylic on silk mosaics by Christina Thompson.
The third exhibition includes two and three dimensional artworks by the Florida
West Arts “gallery
artists”.

Florida West Arts presents a week long Premiere Opening Celebration. Our Gallery Showcase moves from Suite 105 to Suite 182 at the International Design Center. You are invited to experience our all new and expanded art gallery and performance space at two open houses from 12:00 - 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 29 and Saturday, December 6. Enjoy the holiday treats; the performances by community chorales, choirs, and instrumental groups; and the ambience of the International Design Center's “Home for the Holidays” festive trees and decorations.
